RUSH: Carl Paladino running for governor in New York is on fire.  Now, remember just a couple days ago we were on this program talking about the differences in Tea Party candidates and ruling class candidates, Carl Paladino and others, these are people who have lived lives.  The way has not been paved for them.  They have not inherited wealth.  They've worked hard for it.  Some of them don't have it; they're in debt; they've had problems with the IRS.  They are country class people.  They have not been groomed for anything political, and they're fit to be tied.  They see the ruling class destroying their country and they are really upset and offended by the arrogance that the ruling class exhibits while in the process of destroying the country.  Carl Paladino has accused little Andrew the Cuomo of having an affair.

The fallout continues in response to my Big Peace article filed on Monday concerning a known Hamas operative and unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism finance trial in U.S. history who was given a VIP tour of the top-secret National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) and the FBI training center at Quantico as part of a six-week FBI Citizen Academy arranged by the FBI Chicago Field Office.

If you think the federal taxes you pay go to the run the fed eral government, think again. This year, every dime (and more) that the feds collect is going out in payments to other people.

That is, Washington is redistributing even more wealth than it takes in.

With every dollar the feds collect from the "Peters" going to the "Pauls," and then some, nothing is left to pay the more than 2 million federal civilian employees, the armed forces or otherwise run the government.

COLONIE -- "That wasn't easy," Carl Paladino said as he took the podium to accept the state Conservative Party's gubernatorial nomination.

The line elicited a big laugh from the 60-odd delegates assembled Wednesday afternoon at the Holiday Inn Turf on Wolf Road -- including a number of supporters of former Congressman Rick Lazio, who gave up the Conservative line on Monday after winning it overwhelmingly in the Sept. 14 primary.

The New York Post sent a photographer to the Buffalo home where Carl Paladino's 10-year-old daughter lives with her mother. This photographer attempted to take photos of the child through the windows and subsequently attempted to follow the girl to a playground.

We believe this conduct puts Carl Paladino's daughter in harm's way, susceptible to kidnapping or sexual predators. This behavior by The New York Post and their senior political editor Fred Dicker is unacceptable. Endangering the safety of a 10-year-old child is repugnant.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino pledged to water down state mandates and cut business taxes in an address to New York business executives on Wednesday night.

Paladino disclosed new details of his economic agenda in his half-hour speech, likely the largest all-business gathering he’s had since starting his campaign.

A known Hamas operative and unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history – Kifah Mustapha – was recently escorted into the top-secret National Counterterrorism Center and other secure government facilities, including the FBI’s training center at Quantico, during a six-week “Citizen’s Academy” hosted by the FBI as part of its “outreach” to the Muslim Community. The group was accompanied by reporter Ben Bradley of WLS-Chicago (ABC), who filed a report on the trip to Washington D.C. on Sunday, who observed:

Sheik Kifah Mustapha, who runs the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, asked some of the most pointed questions during the six week FBI Citizens’ Academy and trip to Washington. He pushed agents to fully explain everything from the bureau’s use of deadly force policy to racial and ethnic profiling. “I saw a very interesting side of what the FBI does and I wanted to know more,” Sheik Mustapha explained after returning from D.C. He hopes the FBI’s outreach runs deeper than positive public relations.

FORT MEADE, Md. – An Army judge has made it "impossible" for a career medical officer to get a fair hearing on charges he refused to deploy to Afghanistan because of concern that obeying orders in the chain of command under an ineligible commander in chief would be illegal, his attorney says.

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. On May 17th, a black-tie audience at the Metropolitan Opera House applauded as a tall, jovial-looking billionaire took the stage. It was the seventieth annual spring gala of American Ballet Theatre, and David H. Koch was being celebrated for his generosity as a member of the board of trustees; he had recently donated $2.5 million toward the company’s upcoming season, and had given many millions before that. Koch received an award while flanked by two of the gala’s co-chairs, Blaine Trump, in a peach-colored gown, and Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, in emerald green. Kennedy’s mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, had been a patron of the ballet and, coincidentally, the previous owner of a Fifth Avenue apartment that Koch had bought, in 1995, and then sold, eleven years later, for thirty-two million dollars, having found it too small.

Not long after the tea party sprang into being in the spring of 2009, America's elites started vilifying the movement. In an article worthy of a class-action libel suit, The New York Review of Books depicted the tea party's first march on Washington as a parade of bigots.

Ex-president Jimmy Carter spit venom at tea partiers by saying they resented an African-American president -- a baseless charge of racism willingly echoed by the media.

One of the many slick tricks of the Obama administration was to insert a provision in the massive Obamacare legislation regulating people who sell gold. Tea-party activist Rus Thompson plays key role in Paladino campaign.

He and Mr. Paladino, a multimillionaire real-estate developer, did have at least one thing in common: They had long been working to push aside elected officials whom they viewed as out of touch and responsible for high taxes and bad government.

Without Mr. Thompson's urging and his tea-party ties, it's unlikely that Mr. Paladino would have run for governor—let alone pulled off his upset win in the Republican primary against the more moderate, party-supported Rick Lazio.

The hardest thing to figure out is the dichotomous mind of a liberal. Liberals are so confused that destroying a child's innocence is considered a virtuous accomplishment, but allowing M&M's in the cafeteria is an abomination. WASHINGTON (AP) - Admonishing his own party, President Barack Obama says it would be "inexcusable" and "irresponsible" for unenthusiastic Democratic voters to sit out the midterm elections, warning that the consequences could be a squandered agenda for years.

"People need to shake off this lethargy. People need to buck up," Obama told Rolling Stone in an interview to be published Friday. The president told Democrats that making change happen is hard and "if people now want to take their ball and go home, that tells me folks weren't serious in the first place."

I’ve been thinking this for a while so I might as well air it here. I honestly never thought we’d see such a thing in our country – not yet anyway – but I sense what’s occurring in this election is a recklessness and abandonment of rationality that has preceded the voluntary surrender of liberty and security in other places. I can’t help but observe that even some conservatives are caught in the moment as their attempts at explaining their support for Barack Obama are unpersuasive and even illogical. And the pull appears to be rather strong. Ken Adelman, Doug Kmiec, and others, reach for the usual platitudes in explaining themselves but are utterly incoherent. Even non-conservatives with significant public policy and real world experiences, such as Colin Powell and Charles Fried, find Obama alluring but can’t explain themselves in an intelligent way.

Obamacare at six months.

During the long national debate over the future of American health care, President Obama frequently chastised his opponents for launching exaggerated attacks on his plan for “reform.” He took particular exception to the criticism that the changes he was pushing amounted to a government takeover of the whole health sector. He knew full well that this kind of criticism might derail the entire effort in Congress, because most Americans recoil at the thought of a distant and bureaucratic federal government running the health-care system for everyone. So Obama vigorously denied that his program would lead to any such thing. In his Aug. 8, 2009, radio address, he described the “takeover” accusation as “outlandish” and characterized his approach as a mainstream and moderate attempt simply to reform the nation’s private health-insurance system.

he appeal of animated cartoons can be long-lasting.  I grew up in the 1960s, when the era of TV cartoon series was at its height. Until the 1950s, cartoon shorts by Disney and Warner Bros., such as Merry Melodies, Looney Tunes, Silly Symphonies, as well as Tex Avery shorts, had been designed for movie theatres, run before a main presentation. Those were added to kids’ TV schedules but cartoons were soon tailor-made for the medium of TV. William Hanna and Josef Barbera produced their own shows – with characters such as Huckleberry Hound or Yogi Bear voiced by Daws Butler. Countless other cartoon characters chased each other across the small screen, the most memorable being voiced by Mel Blanc. Cartoons were an integral part of growing up for kids around the globe.

Brigitte Gabriel was born in 1965 in Lebanon to a Christian family.

According to Gabriel, during the Lebanese Civil War, militants launched an assault on a Lebanese military base near her family's house and bombed her home during a national attempt to overrun the Lebanese government. In April 1975 and following the collapse of the Lebanese Army, many Lebanese Christian militiamen found themselves defending their own homes and were heavily engaged in street fights against the Palestinian militias and the Lebanese National Movement(Leftist). Just ten years old at the time, Brigitte was severely injured and spent 2 1/2 months in a hospital recovering. Gabriel was the only child of elderly parents. NEW YORK — If politics is the art of compromise, no one told Carl Paladino.

The Republican gubernatorial candidate, who tapped into a wellspring of voter anger to grab an unexpected primary win two weeks ago, was very clear on what the next four years would look like if he wins.

Who would have predicted this a year ago? Certainly not the complacent army of White House spin doctors who have failed to grasp, let alone acknowledge, the momentous political transformation that is sweeping America. CNN’s latest poll confirms that the Tea Party movement has more political clout than the President of the United States in influencing voters during this November’s mid-terms. While just 37 percent of Americans are more likely to vote for a candidate if backed by Barack Obama, a far larger 50 percent will vote for a Tea-Party endorsed candidate.

As US Secretary of Housing, Andrew Cuomo set Federal Housing Goals that required FannieMae and FreddieMac to purchase hundreds of millions of dollars of bad sub-prime mortgages.

IT WAS CUOMO who lowered lending standards.

IT WAS CUOMO who eliminated down payments.

IT WAS CUOMO who offered 105 percent financing.

IT WAS CUOMO who pushed sub-prime mortgages containing a two percent increase in interest rates, guaranteeing they would crash.

IT WAS CUOMO who cost taxpayers $2.4 trillion and the value of our 401k's when the sub-prime mortgage market collapsed.

As The Village Voice correctly reported in 2008: Cuomo "turned the Federal Housing Administration mortgage program into a sweetheart lender with sky-high loan ceilings and no money down, and he legalized what a federal judge has branded 'kickbacks' to brokers that have fueled the sale of overpriced and unsupportable loans. Three to four million families are now facing foreclosure, and Cuomo is one of the reasons why."

When the ultra-liberal Village Voice blames Cuomo for lighting the fuse on the sub-prime mortgage meltdown, even mainstream media reporters sit up and listen:

Two years after the peak of the financial crisis, the federal government swooped in to stabilize a crucial part of the credit-union sector battered by losses on subprime mortgages.

Regulators announced Friday a rescue and revamping of the nation's wholesale credit union system, underpinned by a federal guarantee valued at $30 billion or more. Wholesale credit unions don't deal with the general public but provide essential back-office services to thousands of other credit unions across the U.S. The majority of retail credit unions are sound, but they will have to shoulder the losses through special assessments over the next decade.

No, this one was an assault against the dreaded tea party. The goal, according to the story, would be to "cast the Republican Party as all but taken over by Tea Party extremists."

The White House denied the story (and the Times later tweaked the headline), but you just know it was true. I may not like the liberal tendencies of The New York Times, but they don't simply make up stories over there.

Cathy Paladino stroked the arm of the couch she was sitting on in her husband’s campaign headquarters, first in small circles, then larger ones, as if to assure the couch that both she and it would get through this just fine.

She was talking about her husband’s affair, a subject she was ready, if not eager, to address. Since her husband, Carl, won the Republican nomination for governor of New York last week, the only story in the race as compelling as his upset victory has been their personal back story: that her husband not only had an affair, not only fathered a child with that other woman, but also told his wife of 40 years about it all the same week that their 29-year-old son, Patrick, was killed in a car accident. He pulled her aside, Ms. Paladino said, as she was looking for family photographs to bring to the wake.

He is asking for quick questions from his political friends but not the questions from the people. Carl P. Paladino, the tough-talking Buffalo businessman and Republican nominee for governor, has done little to hide his distaste for Manhattan.

He has disparaged its traffic-clogged streets. He has mocked its liberal-leaning residents. And in a stinging rebuke to the Manhattan-centric, he has expressed a blunt preference for Staten Island and Queens.

Lately, the White House and its allies have been drawing attention to the political activities of libertarian billionaires Charles and David Koch. In an August 9 speech, President Obama singled out Americans for Prosperity, a free-market political group founded by David Koch in 2004. In the wake of the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, Obama said:

Right now all around this country there are groups with harmless-sounding names like Americans for Prosperity, who are running millions of dollars of ads against Democratic candidates all across the country.  And they don't have to say who exactly the Americans for Prosperity are.  You don't know if it’s a foreign-controlled corporation.  You don't know if it’s a big oil company, or a big bank.  You don't know if it’s a insurance company that wants to see some of the provisions in health reform repealed because it’s good for their bottom line, even if it’s not good for the American people.

WASHINGTON — President Obama’s political advisers, looking for ways to help Democrats and alter the course of the midterm elections in the final weeks, are considering a range of ideas, including national advertisements, to cast the Republican Party as all but taken over by Tea Party extremists, people involved in the discussion said.

White House and Congressional Democratic strategists are trying to energize dispirited Democratic voters over the coming six weeks, in hopes of limiting the party’s losses and keeping control of the House and Senate. The strategists see openings to exploit after a string of Tea Party successes split Republicans in a number of states, culminating last week with developments that scrambled Senate races in Delaware and Alaska.

Now I realize monster is a big word to call someone and I don’t use it lightly. It’s just the one that comes to mind — there is something almost inhuman about Soros.

To survive, George, then a teenager, collaborated with the Nazis.

First he worked for the Judenrat. That was the Jewish council set up by the Nazis to do their dirty work for them. Instead of the Nazis rounding up Jews every day for the trains, they delegated that murderous task to Jews who were willing to do it to survive another day at the expense of their neighbours.

Theodore [his father] hatched a better plan for his son. He bribed a non-Jewish official at the agriculture ministry to let George live with him. George helped the official confiscate property from Jews.

The crash of our time came two years ago today. We know the economic story well. Lehman Brothers fell. The markets went with it.

But the political story of September 15 is barely known. That it made Barack Obama's majority. That, two years later, it explains why the Democratic majority is on life support.

Recall the Obama hyperbole of November 2008, so many predictions of an emerging progressive majority. New York Times' columnist Paul Krugman typified a corps of liberal analysts at the time. "We've had a major political realignment," Krugman wrote. "[The] presidential election was a clear referendum on political philosophies -- and the progressive philosophy won." Krugman won a Nobel Prize in economics that same year. Yet even he disregarded how the economy made Obama's mandate that day.

Well, the big election in Delaware today is bringing out people on both sides, on the Republican side, on both sides of this.  It is most unfortunate what is going on because in my mind, you know, I was telling you about this dinner party I went to on Saturday night where the host threw out the question: "One a scale of one to ten, ten meaning the country's finished, one meaning, hey, we're in fat city, where do you think the country is?"  And a prominent person said, "I think we're at an eight."  I was telling the story to other people, who asked me, "What did you say?"  I said, "Well, a six or seven," but I wanted to focus on a different aspect of this, and that is, how to arrest and how to stop this.  My point was that we've never had, never, ever -- I mean we've got the Democrats ready to run off a cliff.  We have got liberalism and socialism set up to be destroyed, and the frustrating thing is that half the Republicans in this country don't see it, or they're afraid of it, or they don't want to go there, and that's the thing that bothers me about it.  We still have people who want to compromise with these people!  We still have people who want to walk across the aisle and be reasonable and get along with them.

"There will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases." That sounds like a stern headmistress dressing down some sophomores who have been misbehaving. But it's actually from a letter sent Thursday from Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to Karen Ignagni, president of America's Health Insurance Plans -- the chief lobbyist for private health insurance companies.

HOMER, N.Y.—The GOP's high hopes to retake control of the House this election year rest in part on winning support from some unlikely places, such as heavily Democratic New York State. Even there, Republicans have reason to be optimistic, because the Democrats' hold on a half-dozen congressional districts appears to be slipping.

"There's a heck of a lot of seats in play across the country, and Republicans won't become a majority without winning something in New York,'' predicted Tom Reynolds, a former congressman from the state who also once led the House GOP campaign operation.

The mere mention of ACORN rightfully sends distasteful chills up and down the spines of informed voters, particularly in light of recently released videos of ACORN employees advising undercover conservative activists on the most efficient means to acquire a loan to operate a brothel, trick the IRS, and conceal a prostitution ring composed of adolescent immigrant girls. While it is well past due for ACORN’s scandalous anatomy and agenda to be fully revealed, many close relatives of the radical entity remain comfortably concealed behind a deceptive grassroots, progressive façade whose crafty mission statements are clearly designed to charm struggling middle-class workers.

DETROIT, MI–The Law Offices of Debbie Schlussel, a Detroit-area law firm, today, announced the filing of a federal lawsuit against Imad Fadlallah, the Muslim man who was, until July, the principal of Dearborn’s Fordson High School, a tax-funded public high school, the student body of which is overwhelmingly Muslim (more than 90%). The suit is also against Fadlallah’s employer at all times relevant to the actions referred to in the suit, the Dearborn Public Schools, which, as noted in the complaint, was aware of the behavior alleged in the suit.  As stated in the lawsuit, the action filed by Schlussel’s clients, Bryan Purcell and Georgene Stergalas, concerns the continued harassment of them by Fadlallah and other school personnel because they are Christian and not Muslim or of Arabic heritage.  The suit was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Let me tell you who built America. I'd love to tell you who built America. America was built by people who fended for themselves, who expected nothing from the government except protection. They expected nothing from the government except protection from foreign enemies and a just rule of law. Other than that, stay the hell out of our lives. That's who built America. The very people who founded this country constructed that kind of a government. The people who built this country revolted against high taxes, a tea tax specifically. America was built by people who believed in individuality, rugged individualism. I love saying that because it so ticks off the left, rugged individualism, hard work, minimal government, freedom and liberty. You see, America was built by people who reject everything Imam Obama stands for, reject everything Imam Obama is doing. And that's why Obama and the suckers in his party who followed him are being rejected by the people. If it is true, as we are constantly told, that American law will soon redefine marriage to accommodate same-sex partnerships, the proximate cause for this development will not be that public opinion favors it, although it appears to be moving in that direction. It will be that the most influential Americans, particularly those in law and the media, have been coming increasingly to regard opposition to same-sex marriage as irrational at best and bigoted at worst. They therefore dismiss expressions of that opposition, even when voiced by a majority in a progressive state, as illegitimate.

Our Troops will still be in harm's way and there will still be shots fired by and at them, but I made a campaign promise to "end the war" and have ALL Troops out within 16 months, without precondition. This speech is designed to claim my promise fulfilled, though I did nothing to achieve the current successes in Iraq, nor to overcome the challenges that persist there.
