Paladino brings his jobs agenda to Orange County
GOSHEN – Republican gubernatorial hopeful Carl Paladino had coffee on the porch of Steve’s Deli in Goshen before telling a couple of dozen supporters Monday that creating jobs is his number one priority.
Paladino said unlike Democratic candidate Andrew Cuomo, he does not want to cap taxes, but rather cut spending and taxes. "We you have debilitating taxes. They left because we have a bureaucracy that’s seeks to intrude in every possible area,” he said. “They promulgate rules and regulations that are abusive to our manufacturers, our creative industries and our farms and that kind of nonsense has to stop, because the only reason for most of these rules and regulations is a self-sustaining and self-growing government.”
Paladino pledged to eliminate the MTA payroll tax and abolish agencies that he said are unnecessary, like the Division of Housing and Community Renewal, the Adirondack Park Agency and the Lower Manhattan development Corporation.
