Michelle Malkin: “Every position that Barack Obama takes is an evolutionary composite of dozens of poll-tested or campaign donor-approved positions — and that’s what’s really driving this. It is all about politics and all about money.” Mitt Romney an Etch A Sketch? Obama is a Lava Lamp, she said, with “all these globs of shapeless, spineless, feckless policies that all sort of heat up and move around when the campaign season heats up.”

Jon Cooper first met Barack Obama in 2007, a few weeks before Obama announced a run for president and back when he was mostly known as a promising first-term U.S. senator with a gift for oration. At a low-dollar fund-raiser in Midtown Manhattan, Mr. Cooper, the president of a large electronics manufacturing company and then the majority leader of the Suffolk County Legislature, stood next to Mr. Obama after he had taken questions from guests. Mr. Cooper pulled out a Christmas card that he had mailed to friends and family and showed it to the Illinois senator.

A student mural at Pilgrim High School in Warwick, Rhode Island, was reportedly deemed inappropriate and banned by a public high school due to its depiction of a man, woman and child holding hands. The couple, clearly engaged in a straight, monogamous relationship, are seen standing with what appears to be their child.
Was there something else more sinister presented in the painting, you ask — an offensive message or an inappropriate character attribute? According to news reports, the school painted over this portion of the mural out of fear that it would offend people who live alternative lifestyles.

I worry about my health a lot. Not because I’m unhealthy, but because I’m a hypochondriac. I don’t imagine symptoms, but when I do have symptoms, I became immediately and irrevocably convinced that they are cancer. Thanks, WebMD!
Most recently, back in October, I found a tiny red welt on my right breast. WebMD told me that I almost definitely had inflammatory breast cancer–a particularly aggressive strain. I called my boyfriend in the middle of the night and made him talk to me until the sun came up, so scared I was shaking all over. I thought of nothing but my imaginary cancer for three full days, until the red spot went away. My friend Destiny texted me regularly to ask how my cancer was doing. She and my mom and my boyfriend found my terror hilarious, but I don’t think they realized its depth.

These shafts of light help, especially, to explain the onslaught of officialdom which in many countries worldwide has so successfully been removing the rights of parents to be the primary educators and protectors of their children.

The statistics are sickening. The UN reports approximately 200 million girls in the world today are ‘missing’. India and China are said to eliminate more female infants than the number of girls born in the US each year. Lianyungang in China has the worst infant gender ratio on record with 163 boys born for every 100 girls. Many abortion advocates have no clue what goes on at the clinics they endorse, nor do they really want to know. They believe that women have this God-given right to say what happens to their body even if it means murdering an unborn child.
But what about the babies? Do they have any rights?
Sadly, and profoundly perverse is knowing that many people who favor abortion and the right to kill an unborn child are also animal rights activists. Many members of PETA are pro-abortion. They protest and picket cosmetic manufacturers and research labs concerning the treatment of the animals while at the same time they are all in favor in the slaughter of innocent lives that never get the chance to see the light of day.

"Marie and Charles" (whose names have been changed) have dumped TEANewYork for our refusal to give Mark Grisanti a pass over his reneging on his commitment to defend marriage. Marie says "Mark is a good man and no I don't agree with everything he does or think, its called individualism," and went so far as to complain to the Tea Party Patriots (!) that TNY is being too tough on Mark, apparently because we've determined that he needs to be replaced. I explained that this is not about individualism, this is about representing his constituency. You and I have the luxury of individualism, but as an elected representative, Mark does not, at least not without facing opposition. That's just the reality of political life. As much as we like Mark, forgive him his indiscretion, and appreciate him individually, we feel we deserve representatives who honor their campaign commitments. Or maybe we don't, if Marie and Charles' opinion is any gauge.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—When the city of Cambridge issues paychecks to its public employees, nearly two dozen workers find a federal tax on their income that their colleagues don't have to pay.
Like many people, these 22 school and city workers chose to put their spouses on their employer-provided health insurance. Because they're in a homosexual relationship, the value of that health coverage is considered taxable income by the federal government.

In a Mexican case, Fr. Hugo Valdemar was found guilty on July 1st of illegal political activity because he stated that Catholics should not vote for candidates who support same-sex marriage. Fr. Valdemar’s defense is that he wasn’t speaking against a particular party but was merely stating the teaching of the Catholic Church. But the particulars of charge and counter-charge do not make a great deal of difference, apart from the strategies they suggest for legal maneuvering. There have been many similar stories over the past few years from around the world, especially in Canada and Europe. The writing is on the wall. Gay marriage is the lie that will create the next Gulag.

Are you supposed to have sex at work? I guess it depends on your profession, but for most of us the answer is “no.” Why then is corporate America obsessed with training about sex?
As described in several recent columns by Mike Adams, I was fired as a vendor by Cisco for my conservative beliefs about sex and marriage even though my beliefs were never expressed on the job. When a homosexual manager found out on the Internet that I had authored a book giving evidence that maintaining our current marriage laws would be best for society, he couldn’t tolerate me and requested I be fired. An HR executive canned me within hours without ever speaking to me. This happened despite the fact that the leadership and teambuilding programs I led always received high marks (even from the homosexual manager!).

These attacks continue to grow stronger and without an understanding of how to defend marriage and the reasons behind the break-down of marriage, we will continue to see our culture slide into the anti-marriage mentality. Before I get into the reasons why same-sex marriage is gaining ground we need to explore some of the fundamental reasons why same-sex “marriages” are not good for those in them or society.

From Ball:
“Knowing that marriage equality was likely to pass, I thought it important to force the issue of religious protections. Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the distinct opportunity of listening to literally thousands of residents, on both sides of this issue, by holding an undecided stance. I thought it was important to listen to all of my constituents and hold an undecided position until the actual bill language was written and everyone’s voice had been heard. Now that the final text is public, I am proud that I have secured some strong protections for religious institutions and basic protections for religious organizations. The bill still lacks many of the basic religious protections I thought were vital, and for this reason, and as I did in the Assembly, I will be voting ‘no.’”

But there is no valid reason to raise that point in this discussion, since everyone has a right to love whomever they wish. A radical redefinition of marriage — where marriage is devalued to the point of losing its very nature — is the real objective. Such redefinition is neither necessary nor desirable. The real story here is political coercion to force an agenda upon citizens who do not accept a false premise regarding marriage reinvention.

NEW CITY — The Clarkstown Board of Education unanimously voted to keep a controversial novel in the high school English curriculum, ending weeks of furious debate among community members.
Fellow patriots intervene to stop the reading of this perverted book. The daily assault by these radicals who want to steal their innocence. I don't care if these are HS students there is no reason for them to read about every social ill. We should be boosting their confidence with uplifting books not filling their heads with trash and depressing images. This is why we have some young people thinking of suicide.
The statement that stands out most to me in this article is:
Rhea Vogel, Clarkstown North PTA president, cautioned the board.
"We are going down a very slippery slope when we let a small group of people decide what our children can read," she said. "I caution our board not to give in to minority pressure."
Wait just a minute! Isn't this small group of people the parents of these children? Again being over ruled by the all knowing school administration.

A study has shown that people tend to assume that organic foods - particularly snacks - contain fewer calories that their conventionally-produced counterparts, so buy and eat more.
For those for whom buying organic is a treat, this is unlikely to have any major consequences. But people who decide to ‘go organic’, could soon find themselves piling on the pounds.

The Coalition accomplishes this purpose by engaging in grassroots education efforts, forging relationships with like-minded organizations across the state, and communicating with elected officials.

There’s so much wrong with this, it’s hard to know where to start.
First and foremost, the President has no right to declare something unconstitutional. You don’t have to be a “community organizer” turned “constitutional scholar” to know this. Heck, anyone who’s seen even five minutes of Schoolhouse Rock is probably aware of the three branches of government. The Judiciary branch is responsible for determining constitutionality, not the Executive. Pronouncing the law unconstitutional, without due process, is a gross overextension of Presidential authority.

There are now, and long have been, two variations on the Christmas theme. There is the version in which Christmas is a largely commercial enterprise. At its best, this version of Christmas is an exercise in generosity and an opportunity to turn away from professional pursuits and remember the fundamental importance of family. At its worst, it is an unseemly weeks-long binge of expenditure and acquisition, an exercise in rank consumerist materialism, where we do not celebrate the power of God so much as we observe and demonstrate our faith in the power of advertising and credit cards.

It will be that the most influential Americans, particularly those in law and the media, have been coming increasingly to regard opposition to same-sex marriage as irrational at best and bigoted at worst.
