ICYMI: GOP Rep. Nan Hayworth, who was elected in 2010 with Tea Party support, but has moved steadily to the center ever since, continued her leftward drift when she bragged to our D.C. bureau’s Leslie Mayes about her habit of voting with President Obama.

U.S. Rep. Nan Hayworth is invoking her talents as a physician and a self-described fiscal conservative in her efforts not only to help defund President Barack Obama’s healthcare legislation but also to repeal and replace it.
The need for affordable healthcare is obvious, and Americans are demanding it, the New York Republican tells Newsmax.TV, adding that that’s why her party is working toward those goals.

Hayworth’s first-week challenges are minor and major: She has to find her way through the massive and labyrinthine tunnel system that connects the Longworth Building, where her office is located, to the Capitol. She will learn that when one of two red dots on her office clock is illuminated, a vote has been called. She will have to learn how to actually cast a vote (each member gets an electronic card and votes by machine). This weekend, she’s attending the Congressional Research Retreat in Williamsburg, Va., where new members learn protocols and rules about drafting bills, debating on the floor, Congressional testimony.

In a wide-ranging interview before he prepares to leave the House of Representatives, Hudson Valley Congressman John Hall warned that the nation could quickly descend into Fascism if more is not done to curb the influence of corporate money in politics.

One reason Pro-life groups exist is as a means of protecting innocent life through the expression of the political will, to the extent that the two major parties fail to do so. The 2010 election cycle is one of those times when the pro-life groups are compelled in conscience to call on all New Yorkers to exercise their ballot privilege by not casting their vote for either the Democrat or Republican candidate in the 19th Congressional District.

Note that I cannot link to Nan Hayworth’s website. She and her husband profit from killing children and her husband has advocated policies designed to shut down Catholic hospitals that will not kill children.

We call on all voters in the 19th Congressional District to recognize that neither pro-abortion Republican Nan Hayworth nor pro-abortion Democrat John Hall believes in the unalienable right to life proclaimed in our Declaration of Independence. We ask, instead, in the Name of the Creator referred to in our Constitution, and to avoid the risk of violating a well formed conscience, voters exercise their right to write in the name of a candidate that holds each citizen to be formed in the image of that Creator. We suggest to them that that candidate be
Neil DiCarlo, the only candidate possessing an authentic pro-life view.

Satement from Neil DiCarlo: I wish to recognize Nan Hayworth's primary victory and realization of her goal to represent the Republican line in this year's Congressional race against Congressman John Hall, the man who helped visit the TARP and Obamacare disasters upon the people of the 19th Congressional District.

HOMER, N.Y.—The GOP's high hopes to retake control of the House this election year rest in part on winning support from some unlikely places, such as heavily Democratic New York State. Even there, Republicans have reason to be optimistic, because the Democrats' hold on a half-dozen congressional districts appears to be slipping.
"There's a heck of a lot of seats in play across the country, and Republicans won't become a majority without winning something in New York,'' predicted Tom Reynolds, a former congressman from the state who also once led the House GOP campaign operation.

The Republican Party primary election is Tuesday. I am greatly concerned about the direction this president and Congress are taking our country. The outrageous and, sometimes, unlawful behavior of our elected officials, reckless government spending, a weakened national defense and the erosion of our liberties will all contribute to a dismal future for future generations.

DiCarlo states that he differs from Hayworth because he is conservative on social as well as fiscal issues. DiCarlo is an outspoken pro-life candidate.
A spokesperson at Hayworth’s headquarters confirmed that Hayworth is pro-choice on the issue of abortion but supports parental notification and opposes partial birth abortion.

Nan Hayworth's campaign manager, John Hicks, along with other campaign notaries, admitted to misconduct on the witness stand Wednesday in regards to the handling of Independence Party petitions. Hayworth, a retired Mt. Kisco physician, is one of two potential Republican opponents to Democratic Congressman John Hall (NY-19) in November.

For Neil DiCarlo, August has twice come up a good month at the Board of Elections.
Though originally denied his party's nomination in the 19th Congressional District contest, the Brewster Republican submitted 1,787 signatures seeking to oppose the GOP's chosen designee, Nan Hayworth of Mount Kisco, in next month's primary. DiCarlo's petitions not only survived efforts by Hayworth supporters to void them on various grounds but also gave him the coveted top line on the primary ballot.

I want to see Congressman Hall defeated, that’s no secret. However I am starting to wonder if Nan Nan Hayworth should she survive the upcoming primary against Neil DiCarlo is the one to do it. Last week Congress passed a second stimulus bill amounting to 26.1 billion dollars and signed by President Obama that brags it saves public sector workers. John Hall voted for this bill. In the Senate so did Senators Schumer and Gillabrand.

Two sets of petition objections filed with the state Board of Elections could alter the three-way race for Rep. John Hall's seat in New York's 19th Congressional District.
Republican challenger Nan Hayworth wrested the Independence Party endorsement from the Democratic incumbent this month, but Hall's campaign has challenged the validity of 1,221 of the 1,534 signatures Hayworth collected to run on that line — more than enough to strip her of the Independence row if successful.

The Putnam County Democratic Committee thinks that it may have stumbled upon an illegal misuse of funds by the campaign of Dr. Nan Hayworth, who is one of the Republicans running in the 19th Congressional District, to Senate candidate Jay Townsend.
County Chair Lynne Eckardt is calling for an explanation involving two payments totalling $75,000 from Hayworth's campaign war chest to that of Senate candidate Jay Townsend, who hopes to be the GOP choice to run against Sen. Charles Schumer.
