One of the senior Secret Service agents who lost his job in the wake of the Colombia prostitution scandal joked about protecting Sarah Palin in a post on his Facebook page.

David Randall Chaney, a 48-year-old supervisor, wrote that he was 'really checking out' the vice-presidential candidate when he guarded her during the 2008 election campaign.

But Ms Palin yesterday hit back at the disgraced agent who was forced to retired after being suspended along with ten others involved in an argument with escorts at a hotel.

Ed. Note: Any time the subject of third party / independent run has come up, Gov. Palin has said she will not pursue such an endeavor. The subject arises occasionally, because many conservatives are highly dissatisfied with the prospect of a Romney nomination. When the GOP runs a big government progressive against a Democratic big government progressive, the former loses. We are, however, mainly a two-party system and a third party run by Gov. Palin would in fact catapult Obama back into office. She said so herself, per the link above.

The president and liberals want to talk about a “war on women”? How about the war on conservative women? It’s happening, but liberals prefer to stay silent about it — when they’re not directly waging it.

Whether it is because of Sarah Palin's increased public profile following on from her two day, six program blitz of the airways during her visit to Fox studio's last week or her CPAC speech which received standing ovations and positive reviews even from the liberal media, Palin seems to be on a roll poll wise.

Sarah Palin was in the zone during her well-received remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference Saturday. In front of an electric crowd of conservative activists, the 2008 Republican candidate for Vice President slammed President Obama’s ideology and called for a united GOP front against the Democrat in the general election, argued that the drawn out primary is good for whoever becomes the nominee, and insisted on a return to traditional values.

If it hasn’t occurred to anyone yet, all that Palin vilification during the 2008 campaign was fraudulent — nearly every instance of it. Essentially, the entire 2008 election — from the election of the current impostor-in-chief Obama, all the way to the monumental mainstream campaign to denigrate and relegate Sarah Palin– was all a spurious farce, a high-tech deception.

Sarah Palin’s family attorney John Tiemessen has written a letter to Maya Mavjee, the publisher of the Crown Publishing Group, a division of Random House, that Palin may sue her, the company, and the book’s author Joe McGinniss “for knowingly publishing false statements” in his book released last week, “The Rogue,” ABC News has learned.

READ THE ENTIRE LETTER HERE

The book was widely panned by critics for using unnamed sources to criticize Palin and her family. Tiemessen cites an email they have access to in which McGinniss writes that attorneys from Crown Publishing told him “nothing I can cite other than my own reporting rises above the level of tawdry gossip. The proof is always just around the corner, but that is a corner nobody has been able to turn” and that McGinniss “ran out of time” to sufficiently source the book.

The McGinniss book is filled with one lie after another. The final straw for me was when I learned that he used me as a source for his lies about my sister and brother-in-law’s marriage. He included in his book comments falsely attributed to me by one of his unnamed sources. Neither McGinniss nor Crown/Random House reached out to me to verify, or even comment on, this alleged hearsay from an unnamed source. They just ran with it, and as a consequence, the tabloids picked it up and used it to fuel false rumors about my sister getting a divorce. All of this is a total lie, and I’m sick of seeing my sister, her family, and our extended family being trashed by smear-merchants like Joe McGinniss and his publisher.

The awful launch week for the over-hyped, expected bestseller The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, by controversial author Joe McGinniss, just got worse. Much worse.

After a week of universally scathing pans from the reflexively anti-Palin establishment media, McGinniss now faces the fight of his literary life: the accusation that he seems to have knowingly submitted a book to his publisher, Crown/Random House, that was filled with unproved “tawdry gossip” and rumors that lacked “factual evidence.”

I just spoke with Peter Singleton, who many of you are aware is the co-coordinator in the great state of Iowa for Organize4Palin, because I had some questions about the interview he did with Robert Costa over at National Review in this article:
Still Waiting for Sarah.

I was especially interested in this part of the article, which you’ll note isn’t quoting Peter but rather paraphrasing him:

However, he [Singleton] says that he will not wait forever, and that his efforts are a “serious” push to establish a movement behind her message, not to be a “fan” or cheerleader.”

So, there has been much debate about a recent Marist Poll that shows Sarah Palin within 5% of Barack Obama and whether or not this is a fluke. For one thing, the numbers are actually closer to 47% Palin, 47% Obama, a tie. The Marist poll actually oversample Democrats compared to Republicans by 8 points, and oversamples both of them with Independents. (There has been a rise in Indy voters, but not to the tune of almost 40% of the population. Using historical trends, the anticipated 2012 Voter Turnout rate is 36% D, 36% R, 28% I. If your prefer the Rasmussen Partisan Preference it’s essentially a 3-way tie at 33.5% R, 33% D, and 33.5% I. In either scenario, you end up with a 47-47 tie.

Look out President Barack Obama. Even Sarah Palin's gaining on you.

A new McClatchy-Marist poll finds that Obama looks increasingly vulnerable in next year's election, with a majority of voters believing he'll lose to any Republican, a solid plurality saying they'll definitely vote against him and most potential Republican challengers gaining on him.

Even in potential matchups where he leads, Obama in most cases has lost ground to the Republican.

A couple of months ago Stephen Bannon, the director of “Fire from the Heartland”, called and said, “I’m working on a top secret film and I want you in it.”  “I’m there.”  Two weeks ago, I got to see the rough cut of that film, Sarah Palin “Undefeated”.  It’s a cerebral look at Who and What is Sarah Palin.  From the Valdez oil spill, to the Wasilla Mayor’s office, to the state oil industry, and through an incumbent Republican towards the Governorship; Palin’s record speaks for itself.  And I am honored to be apart of the film.

The Joe McGinniss Sarah Palin book, “The Rogue” is the left’s latest hate letter to God fearing patriotic Americans. Make no mistake about it folks. The McGinniss attack along with the other numerous attacks on Sarah Palin are really about attacking you; mainstream Americans with traditional values.

Since her extraordinary upbeat VP nominee acceptance speech in 2008, I have wondered. What did Palin specifically say to prompt such immediate visceral hatred from the left? I have come to realize the answer is her celebration of God, family and country.

It has been three years since former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made her splash as Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential running mate. Since then she has acquired a very loyal following – but is that helping her or hurting her?

Sarah Palin gave a great speech in Manchester, New Hampshire at a Tea Party Express Rally this morning where she challenged the Tea Party to continue to grow by allowing in those candidates who have finally seen the light as to what must be done in our country to preserve it for our children and grandchildren. She says we need to hear from candidates who can do more than just talk, as we’ve tried that before, but have records of accomplishment and proven records of reform.

It was at this point the crowd broke out into “Run Sarah Run” chants, interrupting her speech for a moment, to which she gladly thanked them for their encouragement and continued talking about the pro-growth agenda that our country needs.

The federal government has reached monstrous proportions yet seems intent to expand some more.

It has become an open secret that Washington is heavily corrupted and most politicians are focused on furthering their own interests and the interests of those who line their pockets rather than the interests of the people who sent them to Washington. Corruption is something that plagues politicians on both sides of the aisle. “Pay to play” has become the norm. It no longer causes raised eyebrows or shocked surprise to hear that those who’ve contributed considerably to politicians’ elections are then “paid back” with political positions or/and grants courtesy of taxpayer funds. As Governor Palin has mentioned in her speech Saturday, it isn’t coincidental that seven out the ten richest suburbs are located in Washington D.C. Endless regulation for the ordinary citizens while inserting loopholes for their buddies provides politicians cash for their campaign coffers.

Friday,  in an article on Politico, the argument is advanced that Palin cannot win.  This narrative has long been the snide assertion of the left, but it’s also become an increasing mantra being put forward by Republican pundits and strategists who are generally supporting other candidates, or are thoroughly in bed with one. Bearing in mind this bias against objectivity in editorializing and reporting, it would probably be a worthwhile exercise to assess how accurate these predictions are likely to be.

Mark Levin spoke today on the hype surrounding the possibility that Governor Palin would make an announcement to run for president  in Iowa, on September 3rd. Comparing what has been written by Scott Conroy (a credible source) and what has been said by Karl Rove and Dick Morris (non credible sources) I have to say that I concur with Levin in this clip. Levin, who was in the movie The Undefeated, learned from the producer of the film that it is scheduled to be released on Pay-Per-View and On-Demand on September 3rd, and suggests that the governor would be taking ‘two bites at the apple’ to make such an announcement on the same day.

Many of my recent articles have revolved around the themes of Sarah Palin’s unique qualifications, and the fact that the RINO Right, the Liberal Left, and the Lamestream Misleadia were about to launch an all-out assault on The Tea Party. This article is just as timely, but should be seen more as a “call to arms.”

In another earlier piece I wrote called “The Price Of Freedom” are these words: “Where, before, the battle was waged on the frozen hills and fields of Lexington and Concord, and across the swamps and marshes of the Potomac and beyond, with shots fired from pistol, musket and cannon, all of the most devastating shots fired in this new revolution will be fired from the barrel of a pen.”

Ping: Barack Obama tees off while playing golf at the Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown

Earlier in the day Mr Obama visited the Bunch of Grapes book shop in Vineyard Haven with daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10 and picked up five or six books.

'They've got to buy some books,' he said, adding that one of his daughters had an assignment.

After going upstairs and looking around the store, Mr Obama was seen with copies of 'Brave New World' and 'The Bayou Trilogy'.

Brave New World is Aldous Huxley's 1932 dystopian novel about a state which controls the behaviour of its people by using technology to keep them superficially happy. Republicans may well read into the purchase.

Either Obama’s presidency is over or life as we know it in America ends in November 2012. That’s the choice. Given how horrible Obama has been as president, there is no longer a strong expectation that he will win reelection in 2012. A nation dissatisfied during a time of economic hardship almost always never reelects the incumbent. It is highly likely that our next president will be selected through the Republican primary process.

You won't like this, but hear me out.

For sometime now, I've had this unsettling feeling that ambitious women should look to Sarah Palin for clues to success. She seems to make men (and a lot of women) comfortable in a way that's eluded the likes of Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi.

Her modus operandi reminds me of that old TV ad for Enjoli perfume, where a sexy blonde slings a big pan while she belts out, "I can bring home the bacon, fry it in a pan, and never make you forget you're a M-A-N!"

Out here in proverbial politico flyover country, we little folk are watching the debt ceiling debate with great interest and concern. The news of a possible trip was first reported by London’s Daily Mail, which wrote on Sunday that Thatcher has agreed to the visit.

Palin recently touted Thatcher during a speech at a fundraising breakfast for the Susan B. Anthony List in Washington — a speech in which Palin highlighted many of the “mama grizzlies” she believes are reshaping the Republican Party.

Newser) – Sarah Palin insists her claim that Paul Revere "warned the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms" was actually not a flub, and it turns out some historians are backing her up on this one—reluctantly, notes the Boston Herald. In a 1798 letter wherein Revere describes his famous ride, he recalls being captured by British officers and warning them "there would be five hundred Americans there in a short time for I had alarmed the Country all the way up."

In case anyone missed it, Governor Palin gave an excellent interview on Fox News Sunday this morning. She gave crisp, clear answers to all questions posed to her by Chris Wallace.  The topics ranged far and wide from Afghanistan and Libya to energy, the economy, taxes, the debt ceiling, the 2012 election, and Obama’s miserable presidency.  Wallace, by no means a conservative, said after the interview that Governor Palin was “a serious candidate for president” and had given a “boffo performance” in the interview.  However, after Governor Palin’s interview had concluded, the show quickly went off the tracks when the ”Sunday Panel” talked presidential politics.

Yeah. You know, this is probably a good way to put this. The media, for two years has been trying to Palinize Palin — they’ve been trying to destroy her — and what’s happening here is she’s turning the tables on them and she’s Palinizing them, and the Republican Ruling Class is furious. The Republican Ruling Class is furious that Palin, going to all these states on her bus tour, is not coordinating with local Republican organizations, and there’s saying, “This ain’t cool! This is not cool, because if she turns out to be running she doesn’t need to be making enemies out of all these people.” But there’s another way to look at that, and that is: She’s not following a losing script.

This is why I love Sarah Palin.  Go Sarah!  ~ C4F

For starters, no one likes a crybaby who refuses to take responsibility for their own actions. Palin didn’t ask the corrupt MSM to chase after her.  They chose to suck her exhaust.  And if their feelings are all bruised because she’s not feeding their pathetic sense of entitlement with her itinerary – that’s something they should’ve thought of before they spent three years trying to destroy her.

The most valuable characteristic an established “wise man” can have is the ability to see and tell the truth. Speaking the truth about current events is where Krauthammer seems to hit all the right notes. Only on very rare occasions does this maestro hit a decidedly sour note. And these false notes are starting to become glaringly tinny when Krauthammer opines on Sarah Palin. With Palin, Krauthammer’s reliable sights become suspect. He lowers himself from wise man to wise guy. He leaves his well positioned observation post to take up a sniper’s position in the mud.

Recently we had a series of discussions with someone familiar with the inside dealings of Fox News regarding the way Fox News treats Governor Palin. While I don’t condone using anonymous sources (I usually make fun of those citing anonymous sources) unfortunately we can’t not reveal the source. So we have therefore gathered the evidence that will back up everything we were told and it’s up to the reader to come to his or her own conclusion. Whichever way you look at it, the evidence is astonishing on how Fox News is out to sabotage Governor Palin.

Palin: As for the government subsidies that we’re hearing Obama flirting with right now in wanting to decrease those or eliminate those, we’re only talking about four billion dollars. Compare that to the fourteen trillion dollar debt that he, our President, has certainly contributed to and four billion dollars is a drop in the bucket and he shouldn’t assume that the four billion dollars is going to affect Big Oil. No, it’s the independent explorers that we want out there with their entrepreneurial spirit and their manpower and their job creating ability to be out there exploring and then responsibly exploiting and extracting our god-given natural resources.

Shortly after Republicans swept last November to a historic victory in which Sarah Palin was credited with playing a central role, the former Alaska governor pulled aside her close aide, Rebecca Mansour, to discuss a hush-hush assignment: Reach out to conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Ask him if he would make a series of videos extolling Palin's governorship and laying to rest lingering questions about her controversial decision to resign from office with a year-and-a-half left in her first term. It was this abdication, Palin knew, that had made her damaged goods in the eyes of some Republicans who once were eager to get behind her potential 2012 presidential campaign.

Sarah Palin Steps Into Wisconsin, Points To Left Field, And Hits a Grand Slam

UPDATE: Oh look, the MSM’s already making thing’s up. See here.

If Sarah Palin’s not running for president, what a terrible waste that would be of the single best stump speech I’ve heard since, well, Palin’s ’08 convention speech, which just happened to be the single most electrifying political moment of my adult life. A thrill didn’t just run up my leg that night, it ran up everything in me that’s American, and today in Madison, WI, it happened again. Surrounded by an obnoxiously hostile, astro-turfed, pro-union crowd that tried and failed to drown out her message with obnoxiously hostile astro-turfed noise, the former Alaskan Governor took the fight directly to the growing pile of Obama’s failures in the most effective way we’ve heard yet from a potential GOP challenger.

If you want to know why Obama’s Palace Guards in the MSM are determined to destroy this woman and all of popular culture has risen up to help, press PLAY. If you want to know why the GOP Establishment had better start looking over their collective shoulders, press PLAY.
