We had some fun this morning greeting Carl Paladino in Goshen NY.  Carl arrived around 10:30am this morning at the GOP HQ on Main Street in Goshen.   A few of us came out in support of Carl.  Let's see Linda and Edward D., Robert S. and his little cutie, Stacy C., Sandra V.,  Joseph C. and the Maney family.     Oh!  Rally is in my blood.  I took to the street to try to rally some people over to meet Carl.  John and my son Patrick decided to do some news.  They joined in with the group of media and took photos of Carl and also took part in the press conference.  When the media kept hammering Carl about his military service John decided to ask Carl a question and with that question the interview took on a new life.  But if you watched the lame stream media you wouldn't think so.  They are so one sided.   Well here is the interview in it entirety.   Please feel free to pass this press conference onto your friends and family.  Let's get Carl's message out to the people of NY.  We will have a higher quality version tomorrow.  Carl Paladino the next Governor of NY!

He and Mr. Paladino, a multimillionaire real-estate developer, did have at least one thing in common: They had long been working to push aside elected officials whom they viewed as out of touch and responsible for high taxes and bad government.

While surrogates for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo have unleashed a flood of criticism against his Republican opponent Carl Paladino -- who opposes abortion even in cases of rape or incest -- some of these organizations are also lining up behind Schneiderman in his race against Republican Dan Donovan.

But wait a minute: Aren't this year's elections all about jobs and fixing a broken state government? Certainly those topics are dominating the broader political discourse, especially at the top of the ticket and in legislative races.

NEW YORK — If politics is the art of compromise, no one told Carl Paladino.

The Republican gubernatorial candidate, who tapped into a wellspring of voter anger to grab an unexpected primary win two weeks ago, was very clear on what the next four years would look like if he wins.

In an interview Monday with The Associated Press, the real estate developer insisted he would limit himself to one four-year term and suggested that a little scorched earth probably wouldn't be so bad. She was talking about her husband’s affair, a subject she was ready, if not eager, to address. Since her husband, Carl, won the Republican nomination for governor of New York last week, the only story in the race as compelling as his upset victory has been their personal back story: that her husband not only had an affair, not only fathered a child with that other woman, but also told his wife of 40 years about it all the same week that their 29-year-old son, Patrick, was killed in a car accident. He pulled her aside, Ms. Paladino said, as she was looking for family photographs to bring to the wake.

New York Daily News writer, Bill Hammond, wrote a scathing piece on Carl Paladino criticizing him for being business savvy and successful in upstate New York. It is also being featured in the latest Andrew Cuomo “attack” ad against Paladino. Obviously Mr. Hammond is not familiar with New York State north of Westchester, nor is he that familiar with real estate; otherwise he would not be so cynical in his piece.

Here’s something (almost) nobody expected a week ago: Carl Paladino talking to CNN in Central Park.

The commercial real estate developer from Buffalo was asked by Soledad O’Brien to comment about the Islamic cultural center and mosque slated to open in Lower Manhattan. Mr. Paladino, who seemed for a while unable to moderate his over-the-top rhetoric, said the “mosque” was a “side issue” and had “nothing to do with the day to day life of the people in the state of New York.”

New York Republican candidate for governor Carl Paladino surged in the polls after winning his party’s nomination and now trails Democrat Andrew Cuomo by 6 percentage points, Quinnipiac University said.

A Buffalo real estate developer and Tea Party supporter, Paladino is favored by 43 percent of likely voters, compared with 49 percent for Cuomo, the state attorney general. In late August, before Paladino was the nominee, a Quinnipiac poll had Cuomo leading by 60 percent to 23 percent.
